I’m home. Our vacation to Hawaii was amazing. I’m back to my baby girl, Georgia.

I wanted to tell you about the little wins I had… like going for extra walks, drinking lots of water, deliberately buying vegetables to eat with my REAL food meals.

But instead- I’m not in the mood. I got on the scale this morning and it was up 3 pounds from when I left…. and I am pissed.

First off…can I just say, that I would NEVER advise a fitme client to get on the scale the day after vacay. Why? Because it will piss them off.

Even when you do things right, there are a couple of vacay factors that can impact the scale.

Jet lag = retained water and inflammation.

Different food = slowed or different digestion…aka bloat.

Lack of sleep = more retained water.

And finally… vacay treats… especially if alcohol was involved…that will drive up the scale for a few days.

I guess I was secretly hoping those factors wouldn’t impact me and I’d come back from vacay a few pounds in the other direction.

This is one of those moments that I’d rather not tell you how I feel. Because it would be nice if I could inspire you with my epic progress…even after vacay… but that would be fake. My mood took a dump this morning.

But I’ll tell myself what I tell our fitme clients… those vacay pounds will be gone in a few days… IF you get back to business.  So that’s what I’m going to do.

It’s week 2 of the challenge. I had a super on point day yesterday and I will do it again today.

Off to drink some water, have a solid breakfast and head to the gym.
