Fit Me Pregnancy Journal Day 9

I’m drinking homemade bone broth.   If you’ve never had it, you need to try it.  It is amazing.  It makes your lips feel soft because of the fat in the broth.   It’s great for a lot of things.. lubricates joints…reduces inflammation, supports gut health and hormones…etc.  But today I am drinking it for the immune system benefits.

I cooked this broth for about 48 hours so it is really good.  Today I am freezing it into cup size frozen pucks.  Happy to share my recipe with you if you want it.  It is really easy.

My sickness seems to be mostly out of my head.  I guess it is in my chest now, but not terrible.  I slept like a rock last night, so I think that really helped.

​​​​​​​I’m going to do a little strength work in my garage gym this morning.  Nothing crazy intense.  But I want to move.

I am trying to maintain a base level of strength and fitness throughout my pregnancy.  Although I have already modified some things, there are still tons of things to work on.   One thing I’m doing is 5 x 5 strict pull-ups at least once/ week.

Considering I have gained about 10 pounds so far… they are a lot harder than pre-pregnancy.   Once they go away, I’ll switch to 5 x 4, then 5 x 3 and so on… If my body allows, I’d like to maintain a strict pull-up all the way until delivery.
