Ruffles and Bows
I’m back from a one night trip to the mountains. I took the boys and met a friend in a cabin. She brought kids too, so together they had a blast sledding, digging igloos and warming up with snacks and treats. I got to do a 2 mile snow shoe hike in the woods which made me super happy.
We brought Daisy and she got some snow time but mostly lots of love and attention. Exactly what she needed.
Over the weekend we got to pick out our puppy from the litter born the day Diesel died. It’s a little girl, with red and white and black fur. She won’t come home for another 7 weeks or so…but the boys were thrilled to pick her out. I’ll include her picture.
Josh sent me an email that when he gets home the girls will, for the first time, outnumber the boys. (if you include animals)
Me…Daisy…Dolly (the rabbit)…the puppy….baby girl….
vs. Josh, Logan and Henry
Speaking of girls…last night I watched my beautiful friend and Fit Me Nutrition coach do a facebook live on applying simple, ready for the day makeup. She did it so naturally and beautifully.
I’ll be honest… I was a little envious. I have never been good at makeup, hair, or picking out stylish clothes. 19 days out of 20 I don’t wear any makeup at all and I can go 2-3 days without brushing my hair.
I’m going to try her tips with a growth mindset that I can learn to do it better….lol.
I typically consider my lack of concern for appearance a gift…but it did give me pause last night when considering my new baby.
Do I need to up my “girly” game?
Maybe I can practice some bows on the new puppy.
P.S. Officially 20 weeks pregnant today! Half way!
