Fit Me Pregnancy Journal Day 11: Poor Chippy
I’m 14 weeks today. Yesterday Henry asked me how many days left until the baby is here. It was very sweet. This was shortly after he covered our elf Chippy with shaving cream. I can’t even imagine why. He loves Chippy. I was not a happy camper.
Poor chippy. Suffocated by shaving cream.
I’m feeling much better and a cough is all that remains of that stupid cold.
By the way, a handful of you asked for my recipe for bone broth.
Here it is!
Use bones from a grass-fed cow (we got ours from the 1/4 cow we ordered, but you could also get bones from a butcher)
Add to crockpot or slow cooker.
Add one roughly chopped white onion, a few cloves of garlic, 1 stalk of celery with leaves on, a few sprigs of thyme and some parsley.
Fill with water and slow cook for 24-48 hours.
Strain veggies and bones from the broth and freeze broth to use as needed.
(I add some salt while broth is cooking, but then will add more to taste when I use the broth)
Let me know if you try out the recipe!
I have a routine checkup today and am looking forward to hearing baby’s heartbeat again.
